By coupling UConn's world-class research resources, facilities, and business support services to a network of experienced investors and entrepreneurs, UConn’s technology incubation program (TIP) helps launch startups ready to transform their respective markets. And the proof is in the pudding. Not only is TIP the largest tech incubator in the state, in 2020 the 43 companies housed within the incubator collectively had revenues or investment of over $450 million, yes, $450,000,000. While TIP previously only had locations in Storrs and Farmington, with the launch of the Stamford Data Science Initiative, we have added a third TIP location in Stamford focused on data science startups. Collectively we’re referring to the software/data science startups in the TIP ecosystem as TIP Digital, and the startups in the Stamford location are exclusively part of TIP Digital. TIP Digital not only brings all of the resources associated with TIP to Stamford, but it also has dedicated staff in a newly outfitted 5600 square foot facility in downtown Stamford (across the street from the UConn Stamford campus).
